Terms and conditions

Any participation in a Suffolk River Trips Ltd. boat trip is undertaken in accordance with these terms and conditions of service and will constitute acceptance thereof.

1.Interpretation

These terms and conditions set out the contractual relationship between Suffolk River Trips Ltd together with, where applicable, all employees of that company ( hereafter referred to as “us”, “we” and “our”) and the person who books and/or travels on a boat operated by Suffolk River Trips Ltd (hereafter referred to as “you” and “your”).

2. About us

We are Suffolk River Trips Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 13049791. Our trading name is Suffolk River Trips and our registered office is Muir Wood, 21 California, Martlesham, Woodbridge Suffolk, IP12 4DE. 3. Tickets

A valid ticket must be purchased prior to commencement of the trip. A ticket is valid for a specified date and time. Suffolk River Trips boats leave from Orford Quay, Snape Maltings or Woodbridge Town Steps. We will not take responsibility for delayed arrival or non-attendance by you, caused by arriving at the incorrect location, bad weather, traffic conditions or any other factors that delay your arrival. Spare tickets sold at either Orford Quay, Snape Maltings or Woodbridge are sold on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability. Suffolk River Trips do not accept any responsibility for costs incurred if persons are unable to purchase tickets after travelling to either venue.

4. Age

Children are welcome on Suffolk River Trips boats. A child ticket must be purchased for any child aged 1 to 14, anyone aged over 14 must purchase an adult ticket. An infant ( under 1 year of age ) can come on board for free and is not required to book a place.

Any passenger under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are responsible for ensuring that all directions of the Boat Skipper are followed.

5. Behaviour

In the event of any passenger acting in any manner which disrupts or is likely to interfere with the safety of the trip or other passengers‘ enjoyment, Suffolk River Trips reserve the right to refuse admittance to their boat or to ask the passenger to leave the trip. In such circumstances no refund will be payable.

6.Unforeseen circumstances

Suffolk River Trips reserve the right to close, temporarily withdraw or alter any of the trips without prior notice due to inclement weather, technical, capacity or operational reasons. Should your time specific booked boat be cancelled by us, we will endeavour to offer an alternative time. If this is not possible a full refund will be made. See our FAQ'S.

7. Group Bookings/Private Charters

At the discretion of Suffolk River Trips group bookings (up to 24 people) and Private Charters require payment of a £100 deposit to secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable except in circumstances as listed above in section 6. The remainder of the balance can be paid on the day by cash, card or via BACS payment. Should payment not be made, Suffolk River Trips reserve the right to terminate the booking and recover from you any additional costs incurred by this. All other terms and conditions apply, and Suffolk River Trips will not offer any refund if a Group Booking/Private Charter fail to arrive on time for a time specific booking and the conditions do not permit a delayed start. We will endeavour to try and re–schedule the trip if possible but we are restricted to tidal conditions and this is not always possible. No refund will be paid if a Group Booking/Private Charter cancel their trip (due to factors caused by you) within 24 hours of the time specific booked trip. Any outstanding balance must be paid to cover loss of income incurred by non-attendance.

8. Liability

Suffolk River Trips accept no liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense or any consequential or indirect loss or damage of any kind. While we try and ensure all prices, times and dates quoted by our website or publications are accurate, errors may occur and we cannot be held liable for this.

9. Bad Weather

Suffolk River Trips often still run if the weather is rainy, cloudy or otherwise inclement. Occasionally very high winds may call for a shorter journey or cancellation. If Suffolk River Trips has to cancel a trip completely you will be offered the choice to move your booking to another day or receive a full refund if payment has been made. If you choose not to take the trip because of the weather and boats are running a normal service, you will forfeit your ticket and will not be entitled to a refund. If unsure on the day if a trip is still running due to bad weather we advise to phone and check before you set off and we will try to advise, however, conditions do alter quickly on the water, so decisions may be altered at the last moment.

10. Media rights

By participating in a river trip, the passenger, at no cost, gives the absolute right and permission for Suffolk River Trips to use any images, likenesses and representation in any media including, but not limited to, television, print and social media including video footage, for the purposes of editorial, advertising, promotion. In this respect participants names and any biographical material would be withheld unless specific written permission was granted.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. We and you irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or their subject matter or formation.
